In January, July and August 2005, REOS visited the Gotthard line. As a result of open access, SBB now has competition from several railway companies. This is evident as they operate locomotives in their own corporate liveries. The main competitor is Railion-BLS. Their Class 185s, in DBAG or Railion liveries, sometimes out number the trains hauled by the classic SBB Re 10/10s. “Smaller” competitors are Rail4- Chem and TX-Logistics. The latter operating a new loco type from Siemens, known as the Taurus. Also notable, are the changes in liveries and companies evident on freight wagons. There is a mix of familiar and new container wagons on trains transiting the iron-highway to Italy. Between freight trains are passenger trains including the new silver and blue livery of the Cisalpino stock. At the end of the film we seem to go back in Time!
